Role Overview
YW3 Special Projects is hiring a freelance Programmatic & Paid Media Specialist to support a growing roster of sports, entertainment, and live event campaigns. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, responsible for building and managing digital paid media buys across programmatic and social channels.
You’ll work closely with YW3’s internal leads to plan, launch, optimize, and report on paid media campaigns that amplify live experiences and cultural brand activations. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can move quickly from brief to activation, and knows how to make budget work hard to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities

Plan & Build Campaigns: Develop audience segmentation, flighting, and media mix recommendations across programmatic display/video and paid social platforms.

Activate Media Buys: Execute campaigns independently, leveraging DSP access (The Trade Desk, DV360, or equivalent) or a proven workaround solution.
-
Geo-Targeting: Use geo-fencing and retargeting to capture local and regional audiences around live event locations.
-
Optimize in Real Time: Manage pacing, bids, and audience performance daily to maximize reach and engagement.

Reporting & Insights: Provide clear, transparent reporting with learnings and recommendations for future campaigns.
Requirements
-
Proven experience managing programmatic campaigns; additional paid social expertise (Meta, TikTok, YouTube) strongly preferred.

Access to DSP buying platforms or ability to deliver equivalent reach through alternative solutions.
-
Ability to run fast-turn, high-impact campaigns for sports, entertainment, or live event clients.
-
Comfortable working as an independent contractor with minimal oversight.
-
Immediate availability, with flexibility for future projects.

Timeline: Immediate onboarding with campaigns launching September 2025 and additional projects throughout the year.

Reporting To: Project Lead, YW3 Special Projects
